BCI renovated and modernized the Albany County Ice Hockey Facility at a cost of $1.6 million. The contract called for the complete demolition and removal of the existing hockey rink and mechanical plant. A new cooling tower and mechanical plant were installed along with a sub-grade heating system, a concrete slab and chilled piping system, and refurbished dasher boards and glass.
BCI met the scheduled deadline for the opening day of hockey club despite being faced with an unexpected 9 feet of frost in the ground below the surface of the rink.
