This $1 million project consisted of the construction of an electrical substation facility comprised of a mat foundation with integral grade beams (~450 cy). BCI engineered the mat foundation by separating the grade beams placed prior to the mat, containing several trench formed recesses to accompany the wire ways. BCI also constructed a one-sided, cast in place concrete retaining wall (~150 cy) and formed and arranged various concrete pier caps. Throughout the construction for this project, our team worked under harsh winter conditions and sought out creative solutions with other contractors contending for space on a site with very limited access.
